What ruined the story for me were the bland, meaningless characters. A one dimensional woman you can't care about, an emotionless mad scientist, a story meaning nothing but a few stroke scenes. Women are people too as good authors here know.
Please give the authors feedback, I can not emphasize enough how important it is to them.
