The idea of a woman literally becoming a pair of tits for another person, is pretty similar to the vore or absorption concepts, but what was really scary was how even the reader is led to believe that despite some light foreshadowing, the main character WILL actually get the benefits of the program that everyone else seems to be getting.
Differentiating it from vore and absorption material I've read (thus far) is that the 'newly endowed' seem completely unaware that their new breasts were once a human being. So it takes away the idea that she's a person, and puts it more in common with the ideas of humiliation and bondage - she has become sub-human, or a self-aware object.
It's certainly terrifying. Looking back on it, turning a fetish into something that scares you is probably a deliciously evil idea. In that respect, it's very successful. I still remember the first time I read this. It's brilliant.
As fetish material though... it just made me avoid BE for a week. (Perhaps against my better judgement). There wound up being literally nothing sexy about the story, as I was being built up throughout the story to that final moment when the main character takes the formula and uses it on herself. Unfortunately for the author, fetish material was what I was hoping for, even under warning of it being a horror story (go check out the SAW-themed stories posted here to see what I mean).
