Bridget deals with the fallout of her disassociation with Aidan, falling back on good female friends from her volleyball days, particularly the fashionista of the group, Clara. Ignoring her mother's warning, she agree to meet with Dana Daniels, the local reporter who promised to put her in contact with another woman who shares her condition. After a makeover from her friend, Clara, the two drive downtown to a cafe where they have been promised a meeting with the mystery woman in exchange for a brief interview for Dana's latest human interest story.

Writing BE fiction that is actually decent literature is tough, and it's hard to find a good balance between the good stuff and the actual storytelling. This portion of the overall story does a good job of keeping that balance.
