As far as I know, this story has been around for a while -- I've had it on my hard drive since at least 2007.

This was really a preg story. Yes, there was BE, but it was entirely "off-camera" and was described in one short paragraph.
There is something that usually bugs me about this kind of a story: the characters always feel too eager and willing to accept whatever weirdness is being done to them. If someone said to me, "Pete, tomorrow you will be able to be as big as you want" my reaction wouldn't be "OK." It would involve much more puzzlement and some thoughts about violating laws of physics and biology. This style of characterization seems more like a plot device than a person.
Lastly, there were a few spelling errors (not many) but spell-check would have corrected them.
Please give the authors feedback, I can not emphasize enough how important it is to them.
