One interesting aspect about this story is while each 'recruit' has an undying loyalty to the Essence and the spread of the Essence, each person still maintains their individualities and lives their lives that they always wanted to live. They don't become mindless drones whose only purpose is to spread the Essence.

This is a story about how two people are infected by a transformative alien force that allows them to change into their deepest desires. Sounds cool, until I realized that there were No real limits. No real conflict. No emotions other than lust. I honestly burned out about halfway through and started skimming, looking for something different than people just changing into different types of exaggerated forms. When there is no conflict and no way to fight back, the story gets boring.

Dude, this story was great! You got straight into the good stuff, and kept building it up from there! You had every fetish that I liked, too. If you found an illustrator for all of this, then you would make a killing.

I knew I wouldn't be alone, but I didn't realize everybody else liked it as much as me. Best BE story ever. This thing should have spawned a series, even a whole web community. An Essence group. Everybody comes up with their own transformation and name, it'd be awesome. Maybe someday. Congratulations, 'Phalus. I also love the idea that the invading alien force is actually not the "villain," per se, just a wave of change. Very deep, revolutionary stuff. Thought provoking. The perfect piece of erotic fiction.
