I almost always enjoy Pratt's stories, but this one made zero sense and seemed to be stuck in an infinite loop.
My first thought on reading this is that a rough draft was uploaded by mistake. If that's not true, then the author ought to take a break until he/she/it has some new ideas- there's no shame in that!
I didn't understand why any of the characters' motivations or conversations, and er, um, plot? Also, the description of the story doesn't seem to have anything to do with the story.
