I really appreciate how Virtual M maintains awareness and command of the continuity of his story - perhaps having been trained at this as a comic book fan (judging from his similarly excellent Billy and Bob story, which I also hope will be continued). Details of cup sizes and body changes for his increasingly large cast are consistently spot-on.
I also really appreciate how the author rarely misses the opportunity to explore each new possibility that arises in his stories, including particularly the feelings of the characters involved.
In the current part 6, I especially enjoyed Julia's feelings as she at last arrives at the beach party (more of her, please!); the different transformation of Francis with her unique (and rival to Rebecca) relationship to the power source; Rebecca insecurely cupping her breasts to reassure herself after temporarily losing two cup sizes to Francis; Cindy and Jennifer experiencing both their own normal catty reactions as well as being under the spell of "joy for herself and her friends ... couldn't do much but enjoy that her friends had grown larger than her"; Rebecca replenishing her breasts as confidence grows within her, then laying an "alpha female" head trip on the others. All good, thoughtful touches.
Virtual M may not be a native English speaker and may occasionally make typo mistakes, but much more evident is the clarity, precision, and rich vocabulary of his writing. Good job!
Perhaps what I like best about this continuing tale is that it hearkens back to the best of early BE stories - real bread-and-butter stuff focusing on a relatively real-world scenario, with good internal consistency and set in the golden age of natural body growth, development, and body consciousness (early and late teen years, high school and college).
I'm not sure why in myself, but I find delicious the contrast between Julia and Rebecca in their various incarnations - both exulting in the physical joy, admiration, attention, desire, and status that their pumped-up bodies engender, while periodically self-consciously comparing themselves to their one-time sad depleted states, and fearing a return to such a mortifying form. The difference is that Julia still has the internal identity of a wannabe scorned outsider, while Rebecca had always identified with her own gorgeous form and figure (assuming she wasn't a late developer) and proudly scorned others like Julia that weren't so "blessed". Her humiliation in parts 2 through 4 humanized Rebecca somewhat, but now that she's "better than ever" that humanization seems to have faded except for moments of insecurity such as with Francis. "Good" or "bad", all these characters seem to have a purely selfish and self-involved orientation, heedless of long-term consequences or effects on others, as when Julia casually fantasizes "What if I took their breasts, too?"
This mirror-image interplay between Julia and Rebecca is for me the emotional heart of the story, though it's generally enriched by the elements brought in by the rest of D-Team and other incidental characters. The Samantha storyline seems like an unrelated digression, but has gotten pretty interesting in its own right with the addition of her sister and the milk/water growth/shrinkage, so I'm looking forward to seeing how/if Samantha will be tied into the main story.
Anyway, Virtual M - I hope you see this, I'm glad you're back and working prolifically again on your Blessings & Cursings opus, and I eagerly await future installments. (By the way, I had written you a longish commentary on part 5 a year ago, but it somehow got lost in a posting mishap and you never saw it - so I hope this even longer commentary on part 6 serves in its stead. Be assured that people do read your stories and enjoy them.)
