A good story, but some elements get a bit sidetracked. What happened to Jim? Does he ever return, or does he just cease to exist?

I have a pile of stories I've written for myself which I've never published.  I only put 10 up today.  They aren't perfect but I welcome feedback on improvements I can make to them. 
Please give the authors feedback, I can not emphasize enough how important it is to them.
