You really need to seriously consider moving to a commonly used file format, MOST people are unable to open Microsoft Works documents anymore (Microsoft Works is no longer installed standard on most PC's instead a 'Trial' version of Microsoft Office is usually installed, and even that doesn't directly support the old Microsoft Works file formats without installing a series of converter plugins from Microsoft. Microsoft themselves have even discontinued the .wps file format in favor of the standard MSWord .doc file format), if it's just a matter of not having a program that can save in the .doc format (or even the .rtf 'Rich Text Format' for that matter which is supported by the preinstalled program 'Wordpad' that comes with every version of Microsoft Windows since Windows 95) then you should seriously check out www.openoffice.org. The Open Office project is a FREE (I repeat FREE) suite of programs aimed at replacing many of the costly programs used by many people with programs that are able to open/convert most of the current 'Standard' file formats (.wps and other MS Works file formats are not supported however), many people here use Open Office to view documents they download instead of paying a fortune for programs like Microsoft Office or even Corel Office (which includes Wordperfect a competitor to Microsoft's Word program, both formats can be opened by Open Office) additionally more and more PC manufacturers are including Open Office on their PC's because of the free licensing of it, files from many other word processing/database/spreadsheet/desktop publishing programs are able to be opened/converted in Open Office as well, you can do pretty much anything in Open Office that you could with Works or even Microsoft Office. As a courtesy to your potential readers please consider using a standard format like the MSWord .doc format or the Rich Text Format .rtf (you'll get more readers if they can open it without problems).
