"Let's go, they're finally starting!" It seemed like Victor had been
waiting for the debate to start for hours, though really it had just
been twenty minutes or so. Granted, even the build up was exciting.
The motif formed by the three podiums, two normal sized ones on either
side and one massive one in the middle, hinted at things to come.

Victor hadn't been very engaged with politics for most of his life, but
now at 33 he was planning to vote for the first time. He'd been a fan
of Rachel Bennet's show before she announced her run for president, and
his favorite newswoman joining the race had been enough to get Victor
interested. Now, he had knocked on doors for her, donated to her campaign,
volunteered at a voter registration drive, been active in his online support
of her and spent some time in a virtual phone booth. It wasn't the first time
Rachel had gotten Victor interested in something new. Before she started her
show, he hadn't really followed the news, but after seeing a few clips he
was hooked. Now admittedly, at first it had been mostly about the way she
filled out her tops, and if he was being honest that was still a lot of it.
The woman was a total goddess and Victor wasn't even particularly into HERS
women. As he'd watched her show though, he'd realized that she was just really
smart and understood the world in a great way. She had changed his mind on
a lot of issues even before she started communicating her forceful vision for
improving things while on the campaign trail.

"Hi, I'm Ben Snell from News 13 here with my co-host Sara Cooper from KYLC
at the Fox Auditorium, for the first presidential debate. We're very exited
to bring this debate to you. We've worked hard to create a good set of
questions for the candidates, incorporating questions the viewers have
submitted online. We'll start off by asking a series of questions to all
the candidates and then have some specific followups for each individual
candidate." In a more typical election cycle one might have expected the other
two candidates to object to the debate being moderated by Rachel's former cohost,
but Chambers camp hadn't said anything at all and the complaints from Licht had
been anemic.

"Each candidate will have two minutes to answer, and we'd like to remind the
candidates not to interrupt one another and ask that our crowd save any applause
until after each candidate has had a chance to answer. With that, let's welcome
our candidates on stage! First, the president of the United States and the nominee
for the Democratic Party: Marlin Chambers." Sara Cooper said. Chambers walked out
onto the stage and started waving, giving his politician's smile.

Premis: They debate. Rachel interrupts the others with the click of her heels.
