The box was a shallow rectangle, only a few inches deep. Overall, it
was about the same size and shape as an average board game box,
though just a little larger than most. It was made of dark wood,
with brass hinges and a latch, which all looked old and well used.
It was obviously an antique.

Chloe Sanders had just been walking home from school, and had taken a
shortcut through the small park down the street from her house, just
like she did every day. However, today, her normal routine had been
disrupted, by the presence of this box, which she’d found sitting on
an otherwise empty park bench.

“Who do you belong to?” Chloe asked, looking around. There was
nobody nearby. In fact, other than her, the entire park was
currently empty.

Since Chloe didn’t see any sign of the rightful owner, she looked
more closely at the box. There was a round brass plate on the top,
which at first glance, could have been a name plate. However, when
Chloe read it, she saw that wasn’t what it was at all.

A GAME TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
FOR 3 TO 8 PLAYERS.
WARNING: ONCE BEGUN, THE GAME WILL PLAY THROUGH TO THE END.

“It’s a game,” Chloe said aloud, suddenly growing even more curious
about the box. She looked it over again, then glanced around to see
if anyone had suddenly appeared in the last minute. No one had. “I
wonder…”

With that, Chloe flipped the latch and opened the box, which unfolded
into a game board. Like many board games, there was a path that the
game pieces would follow to the end, and each space was painted in
one of four different colors. On one side, right on the outer edge
of the box, there were slots for eight game pieces, as well as for
some dice…or at least one of them.

There were also four stacks of cards, already in place and ready to
go. Chloe was surprised to see them there, looking neat and perfect,
since they were on the side of the board, that had previously been
the lid. That spot had been upside down mere seconds earlier, so it
made no sense that the cards could be there, all nice and organized.
She also noted that each stack had the card type written on top, in a
different color of ink. The four colors matched the four colors
painted onto the spots of the game path.

Normally, Chloe had absolutely no interest in board games, but this
one was different. She could feel it. Chloe didn’t know why, but
she KNEW this game was special. It was…magical. She was certain of
it. She didn’t believe in magic, or at least, she hadn’t believed in
it until that very moment. But now, she not only believed…she wanted
to play. She wanted to play this game more than she’d ever wanted to
play any game in her life.

Chloe carefully folded the game back up, then looked at her backpack,
wondering if it could fit. She opened her backpack, glancing over
the school books that were packed inside. There was algebra,
English, and world history. The usual books for a high school
sophomore. However, they took up too much space, and there was no
hope of fitting the game even halfway into her pack. That didn’t
bother Chloe though, who slung the pack back over her shoulder,
picked up the game, and took one more look around the park, before
she hurried home with her prize.

--------------------

It was Saturday afternoon and Chloe was bored. She was currently
walking down the sidewalk, on her way back home after a small walk
around the block. She’d thought that a nice walk would be a good way
to kill some time, as well as get some fresh air and exercise. Of
course, she’d only decided to go for a walk after her after her older
brother Tyler had called her a chubby little piggy, and made oinking
noises at her.

“What a jerk,” Chloe grumbled, still angry at Tyler.

This kind of behavior was nothing new for Tyler, who never bothered
to hide his contempt for people who weren’t as fit and athletic as he
was. Unfortunately, this was most people, since he was one of the
star players on the school football team. And to inflate his ego
even more, a couple colleges were even scouting him for a possible
football scholarship next year.

Chloe let out a sigh of frustration, quite aware that she needed to
get some more exercise. She didn’t think of herself as fat, just a
little chubby, but she was self-conscious about her extra weight, and
didn’t need her brother to remind her of it at every opportunity.

When Chloe returned home, she was relieved to find that Tyler was
hiding in his bedroom, with his girlfriend Rachael, who’d come over
while Chloe had been on her walk. However, her little sister Mara,
who was thirteen, was in the kitchen, making a batch of cookies.
Chloe began to drool at the delicious scent of them, and silently
cursed the fact that they’d probably go straight to her waist, just
like everything else that tasted good.

As soon as Chloe stepped into the living room, she immediately saw
that her parents were sitting on the couch, having a conversation
with Cassandra, who’d come over for her weekly visit. Cassandra was
a sexy and sophisticated divorcee, who most of the boys at school
would have called a MILF. But to Chloe, Cassandra was almost like an
aunt, having been best friends with Chloe’s mom, since before she’d
even been born.

“Hello, Chloe,” Cassandra said, nodding to Chloe from where she sat
in a chair.

“How was your walk?” her mom asked with a cheerful smile.

“Not bad,” Chloe responded with a shrug.

Then, Chloe paused to look around the three adults who were gathered
in front of her. She began to grin, as she realized that there were
three people in the living room, and not counting her, three other
people in the house as well. This was a perfect opportunity to play
that strange game she’d found a few days ago. Until now, she hadn’t
been able to get enough people together at one time to really try it
out.

“I’ve got something I wanna show you,” Chloe announced.

With that, Chloe went to her bedroom and pulled the wooden box out of
her closet, then she quickly brought it back to the living room and
set it down on the coffee table. Cassandra and her parents all
stared at it with sudden interest and curiosity.

“It’s a board game,” Chloe explained with a grin. “I found it the
other day, and I thought we could try it out…”

All three adults stared at the box in curiosity, and as soon as Chloe
opened the box to reveal the game within, their interest increased.
All three of them leaned forward for a better look. Chloe understood
how they felt, because she’d been completely fascinated the moment
that she saw it as well.

“Where in the world did you find this?” Cassandra asked. She pulled
out a cigarette and lit it, taking a deep drag. Then, blowing the
smoke out overhead, she continued, “There’s something special about
this game…”

“I was just thinking the same thing,” Chloe’s mom said.

Chloe scrunched up her nose at the stink from Cassandra’s cigarette,
and tried to ignore it as she explained, “I found it at the park. It
was just sitting on the bench, and there wasn’t anyone around…”

“Finders keepers,” her dad said, though he quickly added, “Assuming
there was no name or address with it…”

“I think we should play a game,” Chloe’s mom announced. “And we
should get everyone else in here to play too…”

Two minutes later, Mara was staring at the game with the same
fascinated expression as everyone else, while Tyler and Rachael were
just coming into the room. Chloe’s brother and his girlfriend were
obviously annoyed at being interrupted, and neither of them looked
happy to be called into the living room for a game. However, as soon
as they saw the game, they wanted to play too.

Chloe had already known that the game was special…magical. However,
the way that everyone was drawn to it and wanted to play, was further
evidence of this. Normally, Tyler wouldn’t be caught dead playing a
board game, but even he wanted to play. That, more than anything,
was proof of the game’s magic.

“So, how do we play?” Cassandra asked.

Chloe held up a sheet of paper that she’d found folded up in the
game. The instructions had been printed out on a single sheet of
paper, which didn’t look nearly as old as the rest of the game.
Obviously, someone had printed this out at a later date, though
whether they’d copied the original instructions or not, Chloe had no
idea. However, these were the only rules and instructions they had.

“It looks pretty basic to me,” Chloe’s dad said. “Players take turns
rolling the dice…or die since there’s only one, and moving their
pieces along the path. From the colored spaces, I guess you have to
take a card that matches the space you land on.”

“Yeah,” Chloe agreed, looking over the instructions which she’d
already read several times over the last couple days. “That’s what
it says here. You have to show the cards you draw, and you have to
play with them revealed. The game ends when the first player gets to
the end, then the winner gets a prize.”

“So, who goes first?” Rachael asked, picking up one of the pieces and
putting it into the starting spot. Everyone else did the same.

“Each player roles the die,” Chloe read from the instructions. “The
highest number goes first. If the highest number is tied, then those
people roll again.”

“That sounds simple enough,” Chloe’s mom said.

Tyler snatched the die up first and rolled. “A four,” he announced,
looking annoyed. “Damn, I was hoping for a six.”

After Tyler handed the die to Rachael, she rolled a two.

“Too bad,” Rachael said. “I was hoping to go first…”

“It’s okay, babe,” Tyler told her. “You’re still number one in my
book…”

The die went around the table, and when it reached Chloe, she was
disappointed to roll a four. She glanced over to Cassandra, who was
sitting on her right, and who’d rolled a six. “I guess you go first.”

“It looks like I’m the guinea pig,” Cassandra said with a smirk.

Chloe’s dad chuckled. “You could think of it as ladies first.”

Cassandra smiled at that. “Thanks, Neil. I think I will.” Then she
rolled the die. “A two. Not very impressive after that last roll…”
She picked up her game piece and moved it two spaces, where it landed
on a blue square.

Chloe noted that of the first six spaces, five of them were blue, so
most people would land on that color. In fact, blue was the most
common color on the board, with over a third of the spaces being that
color.

“Landing on blue means you have to draw a trait card,” Chloe said,
reading from the instructions. She pointed to one stack of cards,
which had the word ‘TRAIT’ written across the top in blue ink. Then
she read the description, “Trait cards contain a single trait that a
person may possess, which may include physical, mental, personal, or
skills.”

A second later, Cassandra reached over and took the top card from
that stack. Chloe watched in curiosity and amazement. She’d tried
to look through the stacks of cards, to see what they said, but
they’d all been stuck in place, as if glued to each other and to the
game itself. However, Cassandra and taken the card without any
problem at all.

“It says big breasts,” Cassandra announced with a laugh as she showed
the card for everyone to see. It had the words ‘BIG BREASTS’ beneath
a cartoon picture of large breasts.

Suddenly, Cassandra’s breasts began to swell larger, growing as Chloe
watched. Cassandra’s breasts had already been generous in size, but
they grew even more so, while her shirt seemed to grow along with
them.

“What the…?” Cassandra gasped, cupping her breasts in surprise.
They’d already stopped growing, and were now three times the size
they’d originally been. “Wow,” Cassandra said with a wicked smile.
“If Duncan could see me like this, he’d regret ever leaving me for
that bimbo…”

“Impressive,” Chloe’s mom said with an amused look, before elbowing
her husband. “Keep your eyes to yourself, mister.”

“Wow,” Mara exclaimed, staring at Cassandra with a jealous look in
her eyes. “Those are huge…”

“And they feel so natural,” Cassandra commented. “So…normal.”

“My turn,” Chloe announced, quickly grabbing the die and rolling it.
A few seconds later, she moved her piece to a blue square and quickly
drew a trait card. “It’s blank…”

Chloe’s card was completely blank, but as she watched, the word
‘CHUBBY’ appeared on it, along with a cartoon image of a chubby
woman. For a moment, Chloe could only stare at the card, while Tyler
burst out laughing.

“Figures,” Tyler teased her. “The perfect card for you…”

“Don’t be mean,” Rachael told him, giving Chloe a sympathetic look.

“That’s weird,” Chloe’s dad said. “It was blank, but then…”

Chloe remembered reading something about that before, so picked up
the instruction sheet and read aloud. “If you draw a blank trait or
archetype card, it will automatically fill in with a trait or
archetype that you already possess, and will be treated like any
other trait or archetype card for the rest of the game.”

“What’s an archetype card?” Mara asked curiously.

“The green ones,” Chloe explained, pointing to the stack which had
the word ‘ARCHETYPE’ written on the top in green lettering.
“Archetype cards contain a specific archetype or role, which is
usually defined by a collection of specific traits.”

“My turn,” Tyler said, rolling the die and landing on the only
non-blue space, of the first six. “Green.” He drew one of the
archetype cards and revealed that like Chloe’s card, it was blank.
And like hers, it quickly filled in. Seconds later, his blank card
now said ‘JOCK’. Tyler laughed at that. “That’s me all right…”

Rachael picked up the die and gave a nervous smile. “I guess it’s my
turn now.” After rolling the die, she moved her piece, which landed
on a blue square. She drew her trait card, then revealed it to the
other players. “Masseuse,” she read aloud.

“What does that mean?” Tyler asked.

Cassandra smiled. “The instructions said that some traits could be
for skills or knowledge…”

“So, do you know how to give a good massage now?” Chloe asked
curiously.

Rachael hesitated for a moment, then her eyes lit up. “Yes I do…”
She paused for a moment with a thoughtful expression. “It’s kind of
weird, but I suddenly know all about giving massages…”

Then, as if to demonstrate, Rachael stood up and went behind Tyler,
where she began to massage his shoulders. From the look on his face,
it was obvious that she was doing a very good job. However, when she
stopped, he asked, “Hey, I can use a little more…”

“Maybe later,” Rachael responded, giving him a wink.

Mara didn’t say anything before she grabbed the die and rolled. She
drew a trait card that said ‘PLAYS GUITAR’. “Awesome,” she
exclaimed, nearly jumping up and down in excitement. However, that
dimmed a moment later when she groaned, “But I don’t have a guitar to
try it with…”

Tyler started laughing. “Sucks to be you, squirt.”

“We’ll see if we can find you a guitar later on,” their father said,
which cheered Mara up again.

Chloe’s dad then picked up the die and made his roll, landing on
another blue square. When he drew a trait card, it was blank, but
only for a couple seconds. The words ‘LARGE PENIS’ filled in, and he
turned bright red in embarrassment.

“I believe it’s your turn, Denise,” he said a little awkwardly to his
wife, who was blushing just as brightly as he was.

“Thank you,” she responded, taking the die and rolling it.

She landed on the same space as Tyler, and drew an Archetype card.
And like her son, it was blank, though not for long. In seconds, her
formerly blank card now read ‘NURSE’.

“Well, I am a nurse,” she commented with an amused smile, “so I guess
this means, that nothing has changed.”

“And I guess this means that the first round is over,” Cassandra
said, picking up the die for her second turn. “Time for round two…”

“Get one of the red squares,” Denise told her. “I want to see what
those cards do.”

“I’ll give it a shot,” Cassandra said, though a moment later, her
piece was moved to another blue square. With a sigh of
disappointment, then a look of curiosity, she drew one of the trait
cards. “It’s a blank one…”

She held the card up to reveal that it was blank, though only for a
couple seconds before the word ‘SMOKER’ appeared on the card. With a
shrug, she set it down on the coffee table in front of her, face up.

Chloe gave Cassandra a curious look, her eyes going to the woman’s
expanded bust, then she rolled her die, hoping that she could get
similar benefits. “Okay, I’ve got a five…” She moved her piece five
spaces, and landing on a red square. “All right. I’ve got an action
card.” After taking a deep breath, Chloe turned her attention to the
stack of cards that had the word ‘ACTION’ written across the top.

Chloe’s dad picked up the instruction book and read, “Action cards
contain an action that must be performed immediately.”

“Let’s see,” Chloe said as she read her card aloud. “Discard an
archetype card. If you have more than one archetype card, pick which
one to discard. If you have no archetype cards, then the first
player on your left with an archetype card, must pick and discard one
of theirs instead.”

With that, all eyes went to the space in front of Chloe, where she
only had a single trait card sitting face up. Then, everyone looked
to Tyler, who was the first person on her left, to possess an
archetype card.

Rachael laughed and gently elbowed Tyler in the arm. “I guess this
means you don’t get to be a jock anymore.”

“Whatever,” Tyler responded with annoyance.

As soon as Tyler put his archetype card into the previously empty
discard pile, his body began to change. As Chloe watched, her
brother’s muscles seemed to deflate and fade away, then, a more
subtle shift seemed to occur, and he slumped over a little, no longer
showing the physical confidence that he had a minute earlier.

“Well, this stinks,” Tyler said, looking down at himself and frowning.

However, Chloe noted that he seemed more annoyed than concerned about
these changes, and wondered if that was just another part of the
game’s magic. Nobody else seemed bothered by this either. They were
all a little surprised, and even amused, but nobody seemed shocked or
worried, including herself.

“Sorry about that,” Chloe told her brother, while trying not to laugh.

Tyler picked up the die and said, “Let’s see what I get this time. I
hope it’s something good…” He landed on a red space and drew an
action card. “Every player must draw a trait card, starting with the
player who drew this card, and going clockwise.”

“That should shake things up a bit,” Cassandra said, looking at the
two trait cards she already had in front of her.

“All right,” Mara exclaimed with a grin. She watched her brother
intently to see what trait he’d draw. “I hope it isn’t another
blank, because those are boring.”

Tyler drew his second card of the turn, then went pale as he saw what
it said. He set it down in front of him without showing anyone else,
but since it was face up, Chloe could easily see it anyway. His new
trait card was identical to the first one Cassandra had drawn and
said ‘BIG BREASTS’. Chloe began to giggle, especially as her
brother’s chest swelled up into two generous breasts, which weren’t
as large as Cassandra’s, though they were still impressive.

“No fair,” Mara exclaimed. “It’s not fair that my brother has bigger
breasts than me…”

“How do you think I feel?” Rachael asked, teasing Tyler. “My
boyfriend is bigger than me.”

“Shut up,” Tyler grumbled, blushing self-consciously.

Rachael drew her trait card, then proudly showed it off. ‘LONG
HAIR’. Her brunette hair, which already extended down to her
shoulder blades, began to grow even longer, only stopping once it was
past her waist. “Wow,” she commented, brushing her hair out of the
way. “This is gonna get in the way.”

Mara went next, drawing a trait card that read, ‘TANNED’. Her skin
immediately darkened into a nice bronzed tan. Chloe watched as her
dad drew a trait card for ‘TATTOOS’ and suddenly had tattoos appear,
running down both arms. She smirked at that, wondering what the
people who worked for him would think of their manager being all
inked up. Then, it was her mom’s turn, and she drew a blank trait
card, which filled in with ‘COOKING SKILLS’.

“This should be interesting,” Cassandra said as she drew her trait
card. ‘SPEAKS SPANISH’. She smiled at that, then said, “Siempre he
querido hablar otro idioma. Esto es increíble.” Chloe didn’t
understand what Cassandra had said, though Cassandra looked quite
pleased with herself.

Chloe stared at the stack of trait cards, then glanced around at
everyone else, noting what trait cards they’d already drawn. Some
were good ones, while others, were somewhat less impressive. Then,
she reached out to take her own.

“Six inches of height,” Chloe read the card aloud. “Does that mean
I’m going to turn into a doll?”

Suddenly, Chloe felt a stretching sensation and realized that she was
growing. She looked down at herself, then at Cassandra, who almost
seemed to be shrinking. When it stopped, Chloe looked around the
table, realizing that everyone else now looked a little shorter.
She’d grown taller, going from five foot five, to five foot eleven.

“It looks like I’m almost as tall as you are now,” Chloe told Tyler,
feeling rather pleased about that.

“No fair,” Mara pouted. “I wanted to get taller…”

Chloe stood up and stretched out, then announced, “I think I like
being tall…”

“I guess that means it’s my turn now,” Rachael said, picking up the
die and making her roll. Her piece landed on a red space, and when
she drew her archetype card, it was a blank, which quickly filled in
with ‘CHEERLEADER’.

Mara rolled a six and landed on a gold space, which immediately
caught Chloe’s attention, since there were only three gold spaces on
the entire board. “I get a prize card,” Mara announced excitedly,
looking towards the stack of cards that had the word ‘PRIZE’ written
on the cards in gold lettering. “But what do the prize cards do?”

Chloe’s dad, looked over the instruction sheet and read, “Prize cards
provide a reward, which you can use to influence your status in the
game. Most prize cards do not require them to be played immediately,
so they may be held onto for later use. Once a winner has been
declared, any prize cards that have not yet been used, become void.”

“Awesome,” Mara exclaimed, quickly grabbing her card and reading it
aloud. “You may take any one archetype card from another player.
This card may be held for later use, but can only be played during
your turn.”

“That sounds like a useful one,” Cassandra pointed out with an amused
smile. “It looks like you have two cards to choose from…”

“Or you could save it for later,” Rachael quickly pointed out.
“Until there are more cards to choose from…”

“I wanna be a cheerleader,” Mara announced, snatching the
‘CHEERLEADER’ card from where it sat in front of Rachael.

The moment Mara had the card in hand, she and Rachael both began to
change. Rachael seemed to lose a little of her beauty, while her
body language shifted, becoming more self-conscious and awkward. At
the same time, Mara sat up straighter, looking more confident and
outgoing. She became a little prettier, but even more noticeable,
was the fact that her clothes shimmered and altered, until she was
now wearing a cheerleader outfit, which was in the same green and
gold colors of her school.

“This is awesome,” Mara announced, jumping to her feet and doing
several cheer moves to show off.

Tyler gave Mara a look of annoyance, then turned to Rachael and said,
“Sorry about that. If it helps, I know how you feel…”

Rachael merely nodded and looked to Chloe’s dad. “I guess it’s your
turn,” she said, a little more quietly than she normally would have.

“I hope I get one of those prize cards,” Chloe’s dad said, though he
landed on a red space instead. “Damn. Well, let’s see the damage.”
He drew the card, then read it aloud, “Each player must choose one
trait card that they possess, and give it to the player on their
left.”

Chloe looked at the two trait cards in front of herself and grinned,
already knowing which one she was going to give to Tyler. She
smirked as she handed him the cards that said ‘CHUBBY,’ thinking that
after how rude he’d been to her that morning, he deserved it. A
second later, her body seemed to deflate, as all her extra weight
vanished, leaving her much thinner. However, as exciting as that was
for her to watch, she was even more amused to watch her brother gain
the weight that she’d just lost. He just began puffing up in front
of her, until he was overweight and ‘chubby’.

“I hate you,” Tyler told Chloe, with a glare that made her giggle.

“Are you still sore about losing your jock status?” Chloe asked.

Then, she looked down and suddenly noticed the trait card that
Cassandra had given her. It was the ‘SMOKER’ card. An instant
later, Chloe noticed that she also had a pack of cigarettes and a
lighter, sitting on the coffee table in front of her. The cigarettes
were Marlboro lights, not the brand that Cassandra smoked.

“Sorry about that,” Cassandra apologized, though she didn’t really
sound sorry.

“It’s all right,” Chloe replied, understanding why Cassandra hadn’t
given her either of her other trait cards. It was the same reason
that she hadn’t given her height card to Tyler.

Then, she absently pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a deep
drag, then blowing the smoke out overhead. A part of Chloe was
surprised at her own actions, since she’d never smoked before in her
life, but not by much. After all, the card in front of her clearly
labeled her as a smoker, and she ‘knew’ that she was one. She felt
like she’d been smoking for a long time, and that it was an old and
familiar habit.

Chloe took another drag of her cigarette as she looked around the
game board, wanting to see what cards the others all gave and
received. Tyler looked relieved to give his big breasts to Rachael,
who seemed pleased to have become noticeably larger.

“Not bad,” Rachael commented, looking down at her large breasts and
smiling. “Not bad at all.”

Rachael had already given her card to Mara, so now, Rachael’s hair
was back at its original length, while Mara was the one with long
hair draping down her back. Mara had then given her card for tanned
skin to their dad, who now had a nice golden tan, but no tattoos.
Chloe’s mom was now the one with the tattoos, and from what Chloe
could see of the ones on her arms, they were different than tattoos
than what her dad had briefly possessed.

“I wasn’t about to give you this one,” Chloe’s dad said, looking to
her mom. He tapped the trait card for ‘LARGE PENIS’ and chuckled.
“I’m keeping this one.”

“Thankfully,” Chloe’s mom responded, looking at the artwork that now
decorated her skin. “Unfortunately, it looks like I won’t be cooking
dinner tonight. I forgot how.”

“I’ll cook dinner,” Cassandra volunteered. “It’s the least I can do,
since I’m the one with all your cooking skills now.”

Chloe’s mom nodded, looking a little annoyed. “Well, I hope I get
something good, to replace what I just lost…” She rolled the die,
which landed on a green space. “Okay, it looks like I get another
archetype…”

She drew the card and held it up for everyone to see, looking rather
smug as she did so. Her body was already starting to change, and
Chloe watched it do so in fascination. Her mom had been a little
overweight, but that weight began to reposition itself, so that she
looked less overweight, and more voluptuous. At the same time, her
hair became brighter and more lustrous, and the crow’s feet faded
away from around her eyes. In mere seconds, Chloe’s rather frumpy
mother, now looked quite sexy.

“It looks like I’m a MILF now along with being a nurse,” Chloe’s mom
announced as she proudly placed her ‘MILF’ card down in front of her,
right beside her ‘NURSE’ card.

“Good one,” Cassandra said with a nod of approval. Chloe’s dad
didn’t say anything, though the way he was staring at his wife said
more than enough. “Now, let’s see what I get…”

Cassandra rolled the die and landed on a red space. Tyler
immediately groaned. “Not another one of those.”

“Choose a trait card in play,” Cassandra said, reading her new action
card aloud. “This card will become a copy of that trait card.” She
paused at that to look around at the cards everyone else had, then
said, “I’m going to copy Rachael’s massage card…”

As soon as Cassandra said these words, the writing on her card
changed, so that it said ‘MASSEUSE’, just like Racheal’s card. Even
the writing on the back changed, so that it now said ‘TRAIT’ in blue
ink.

“It looks like you’re getting quite a collection of those trait
cards,” Chloe’s dad pointed out.

“They seem to be working for me so far,” Cassandra pointed out.

Chloe put her cigarette into the ashtray, then rolled her die.
“Another blue space,” she said a moment later. Then, as she drew her
new trait card and read it, she smiled.

“Oooh, that is a good one,” Rachael said.

“Oh yeah,” Chloe agreed. “And about time, too.” With that, she set
her new trait card on the coffee table in front of her, reading the
word, ‘SEXY’.

Chloe savored the sensations as her body changed. Her breasts and
hips grew, while her waist became thinner. Numerous small changes
occurred throughout her body, and when it was done, she knew that she
looked sexier. She certainly felt that way.

“Wow,” Mara announced. “You’re looking hot, sis…”

“Definitely a good card,” Cassandra agreed.

Tyler glared at Chloe, obviously jealous that she’d benefitted from
the game, while so far, he hadn’t been as lucky. He didn’t say a
word as he rolled the die and landed on a blue space. Then, drawing
his card, he set it down in front of him so that everyone could read
it. ‘SKILLED PAINTER’. He glared at Chloe again, as though this was
her fault.

Rachael took her turn, landing on a green space. She held up the
archetype card, which said ‘STRIPPER’, and placed it in front of her
with a slightly worried look.

Suddenly, Rachael’s body began to change, regaining the beauty that
she’d lost with her cheerleader status, and then some. Her already
large breasts swelled even larger, as her curves became sexier and
more pronounced. Then, to emphasize these changes further, Rachael’s
clothes changed, becoming sexy and skimpy, designed to show off her
improved body. Chloe noted that Rachael was now wearing stiletto
heels as well.

‘Wow,” Chloe said. “Now that is an impressive card…”

“Damn,” Tyler said, staring at Rachael with obvious appreciation.

“You know,” Rachael said, her voice sexier than before. “I have this
urge to show off…” She pushed her chest out just a little more.

“My guess is that being an exhibitionist goes with being a stripper,”
Cassandra pointed out in amusement.

“I think you’re right,” Rachael agreed.

Mara gave Rachael a jealous look, then took her turn. When she
landed on a green space, she jumped up and cheered, literally. “Give
me a G,” she called out as she danced about, “Give me an R. Now give
me an E…and another E. Finally, give me an N. What does it spell?”

“Annoying?” Tyler asked with a scowl.

Mara responded by sticking her tongue out at him, then drawing her
card. “How is this gonna work?” she asked, setting the card down on
the table so that everyone could read ‘GOTH’ on the front.

Before the card was even on the coffee table, Mara was already
starting to change. Her long flowing hair, darkened and turned
black, while her skin paled. Dark eye-shadow and black lipstick
appeared, as did a small nose stud. And then, her clothes darkened,
remaining a cheerleader uniform, but turning from green and gold to
black and purple.

“A goth cheerleader,” Chloe said in surprise.

“Whatever,” Mara said, looking herself over and not seeming
especially impressed. “I guess this is different…”

“I don’t know about anyone else,” Chloe’s dad announced. “But I need
to go to the bathroom. Let’s all take a break…”

Everyone else was happy to agree, so as Chloe stood up, she grabbed
her cigarettes and went to the back porch. The moment she was
outside, she lit a cigarette and inhaled, savoring how it felt. She
mused on just how normal this felt to her, and how everyone else was
acting as though it was normal too.

“This is some strange game,” she said aloud.

“You can say that again,” Rachael commented as she came out and
joined Chloe. “I came here as a cheerleader, and now I’m a stripper.
I mean, I actually love the idea of being able to make men drool
over me…”

“Like Tyler,” Chloe asked.

Rachael shrugged at that. “Honestly, he doesn’t excite me the way he
used to. We’ve both changed a little too much.”

Chloe blew out a stream of smoke. “And who knows how much more we
might change before the game is over.” Then, she gestured down at
herself and smiled. “But I for one, like how I’ve changed.”

“There are definite plusses to this,” Rachael agreed. “Even if I am
pretty top heavy now.”

They remained on the porch, talking for a couple more minutes while
Chloe finished her cigarette. After putting it out, she and Rachael
went back inside, both of them looking for a mirror so they could
examine their new bodies.

Chloe looked herself over for several minutes before announcing,
“Definitely an improvement.”

“I agree completely,” Rachael told her with a smile, before they
returned to the living room and reclaimed their seats.
